Catching up with Helen Parry, Private Clients Account Handler

A year ago, we met Helen Parry, when she had just recently joined TMD as a trainee Private Clients Account Handler. Now, twelve months on, we catch up with Helen and find out how she’s getting on.

For a start, Helen is now a fully-fledged Private Clients Account Handler and very much enjoys the role, which carries many responsibilities. A typical day involves checking and dealing with outstanding tasks, responding to emails and telephone enquiries, issuing and processing renewals, and arranging new business quotations.
 
With Private Clients representing a key and growing area of TMD’s business, we must provide exceptional personal service, speedy response and a good understanding of the client’s needs. It's essential that renewals are issued within the required timescale, queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently, and the best possible outcome is achieved.
 
Having spent the last year learning all aspects of the job, Helen takes great pride in carrying out her duties to the highest professional standards, repeatedly proving that she is a natural in this role. “My objectives are to give my full attention to each and every client and meet deadlines,” she explains, “while working as part of a team and giving my full support to colleagues.”
 
Describing her job as purposeful, collaborative and variable, Helen particularly enjoys the variety, as “no two cases are the same and every day is different!” When asked to describe herself, she says: ‘organised, reliable, resilient and versatile’, which are all key qualities required for the role and explains why she is making such a success of the job.
 
When it comes to personal life, Helen says she adores musicals and reading a good detective mystery, enjoys spending time with her children and has a keen interest in Interior Design. She says she is inspired by kind, passionate people, particularly David Attenborough and the late, great Steve Irwin. One interesting fact is that she qualified as a hairdresser many years ago, today joking that the one thing she’s really bad at is - cutting hair! On the plus side, she says one thing she’s really good at is decluttering!
 
With her organised, efficient approach and friendly, empathetic manner, Helen has everything it takes to be a brilliant Private Clients Account Handler and is proving to be a key asset to the team.
